This is a permanent role at the VPS5 level with a Victorian Government Department which is currently undergoing major technological change & uplift. With >100 large and small initiatives to be completed over the next few years, they are looking for a technically skilled and motivated individual to join their team and be pivotal resource on some major & exciting projects

Responsibilities

• Drive the modernisation of end-to-end application and service lifecycles to support a mobile, flexible workforce.
• Provide Level 3 escalated support issues across desktop, endpoint hardware, software, and business applications.
• Utilise expertise in EUC and Microsoft Cloud technologies (Azure, Entra ID, Endpoint Manager, Intune, Defender, Autopilot).
• Modernise SOE imaging and application packaging services, contributing to ongoing project delivery.
• Apply best practices to enhance end-user experience and resolve advanced desktop support issues.

Mandatory requirements:
The successful candidate will posses all or most of the following requirements:

• Experience in a similar government environment preferred; strong communication and drive to succeed.
• Experience playing a pivotal role within a major technical implementation/change
• Proficient in Azure services including App Services, AKS, Functions, Load Balancer, ExpressRoute, Virtual Network, Key Vault, Sentinel, and Azure SQL.
• Skilled in IaC using ARM and Bicep; strong PowerShell scripting and automation abilities.
• Knowledge of Exchange Online, Azure Site Recovery, networking, and cloud security.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve Azure platform performance, connectivity, and application issues.
