Are you an accomplished pharmacist looking to take the next step in your professional career delivering clinical pharmacy services?

Alice Springs Hospital (ASH) is public hospital servicing Central Australia and Tennant Creek Hospital (TCF) services the Barkly Region.

As Clinical Pharmacist (P2) you are responsible for providing for the direct provision of pharmaceutical services to clients and staff of Alice Springs and Tennant Creek Hospitals including inpatient and outpatient dispensing, supervision of technical staff, ward based clinical services, and provision of medicines information.

In addition, you will be re responsible for providing culturally appropriate drug information and education, participating in Continuous Quality Improvements and monitoring drug use and the implementation of pharmaceutical related policies. You will also be required to participate in regular clinical rotations to NT hospitals and remote communities, including overnight stays.

To be shortlisted, you require tertiary qualifications in Pharmacy, eligibility for registration as a pharmacist with the Pharmacy Board of Australia, demonstrated clinical experience and a sound knowledge of clinical pharmacy practice.

Your expertise in quality improvement principles and medication safety standards, and ability to plan and prioritise high volume complex workload will be key to your success. High level communication, interpersonal and conflict management skills along with a demonstrated awareness and understanding of Aboriginal culture and interacting with patients and families of diverse cultural and social backgrounds is essential.
