Play a key role in delivering an approved early childhood program based on the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework or the Early Years Learning Framework
Help children develop crucial skills that will support their learning, social, and emotional growth

What You’ll Be Doing
Planning and Implementation: Contribute to the planning and delivery of stimulating, engaging programs that support each child’s development and learning
Assessment & Documentation: Work with the team to assess children’s learning and development through an ongoing cycle of planning, documentation, and evaluation
Collaborate & Communicate: Build strong relationships with children, families, and colleagues, ensuring an open exchange of information to provide the best outcomes for children
Health & Safety: Ensure the well-being of children by addressing health concerns, completing necessary records (accidents, illnesses, medications), and adhering to Centre policies
Quality Improvement: Support the Centre’s Quality Improvement Plan, assisting in maintaining high-quality educational practices
Teamwork: Contribute positively to the team dynamic, participating in staff meetings, professional development, and training to stay updated with the latest trends in early childhood care and education
What You Bring
Qualifications: A TAFE Certificate III in Children’s Services (or equivalent) as per the Education and Care Services National Law and Regulations
Experience: Demonstrated experience in the care and education of young children (0-6 years), with a strong understanding of child development stages
Communication Skills: Good listening, verbal, and written communication skills, with the ability to engage and effectively communicate with children, families, and colleagues
Team Player: Ability to work cooperatively with others and contribute to a positive, collaborative team culture
First Aid: Preferred (but not required) – First Aid certification, CPR, and other related certifications are beneficial
Checks: A current Working with Children Check and National Police Check

The Rural City of Wangaratta was formed from the merger of the City of Wangaratta, the Shires of Oxley and Wangaratta and parts of the Shires of Beechworth, Benalla and Yarrawonga.
