We have an exciting opportunity for a HSE Advisor to join an Adelaide construction company with over 100 years of experience behind them. Their commendable approach to building relationships and understanding their clients is what gives them a point of difference that ensures they excel in the market. With a variety of repeat clientele and varying projects, they have created a successful brand by committing their business to healthy and lasting relationships. With the acquisition of more projects and further growth within the business, they are now seeking a HSE Advisor to join their vibrant and hardworking team.

The Role

As HSE Advisor, you will be supporting site personnel and ultimately be responsible for fostering a culture of safety. Your duties will include but not be limited to:

• Implement safety management procedures
• Uphold an awareness of WHS legislation, guidelines, and risk management in relation to the building industry
• Ensure company policies and procedures are maintained to reflect legislative requirements
• Conduct site inspections and audits
• Coordinate incident investigations and required reporting
• Provide safety education and training
• Assist in development of hazard and risk identification processes and controls

The Like Mind

The successful HSE Advisor will have a Certificate IV in WHS and a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role with a commercial construction contractor. You will have extensive knowledge of the current legislation and risk management processes, in addition to an understanding of quality, health, and safety management systems. An up to date First Aid Certificate will also be beneficial. Additionally, you will possess a strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities. Most importantly, you will have a strong ability to build solid working relationship with employees and stakeholders of all levels.
