About the Role:

We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced Retail Store Manager to lead the daily operations of Subway. This is a hands-on role, responsible for managing all aspects of the business including staffing, customer service, compliance, inventory, and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the recruitment, induction, training, and development of employees in accordance with Subway standards

Create and manage effective staff rosters and schedules

Oversee inventory control, stock ordering, deliveries, and weekly stocktake

Monitor and analyse weekly sales, inventory, and wastage reports to drive business performance

Conduct daily banking, manage payroll, and prepare timesheets

Ensure all store operations comply with Subway brand policies and local council regulations

Maintain a safe and clean work environment for both staff and customers

Implement in-store marketing materials in line with national campaigns

Promote a high standard of customer service and resolve escalated customer issues

Monitor and improve store presentation and housekeeping

Uphold and enforce health and safety procedures

About You:

Previous experience as a Restaurant Manager, Retail Manager, Assistant Manager, or Supervisor in a fast-paced hospitality or retail environment for at least 1 year

Must have related qualification in management or business with at least AQF Diploma or Advanced Diploma

Proven leadership and team development skills

Strong business acumen and understanding of stock, sales, and cost control

Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving abilities

Passion for customer service and operational excellence

Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays
