About the opportunity:

Position: Perinatal Mental Health Coordinator

Vacancy: Fixed term temporary part-time, 30.4 hours per fortnight, commencing ASAP to 27/12/2025

Location: Townsville

About the role:

Perinatal Mental Health Coordinators provide a consultation-liaison service for perinatal mental health consumers within Townsville Hospital and Health Service (THHS), working in partnership with THHS staff and the primary health care sector to provide a pathway to care for women at risk of perinatal mental health issues.

The Perinatal Mental Health Coordinators provide services across the Mental Health Service Group and to other Townsville Hospital and Health Service Groups.

All employees of the Mental Health Service Group may be required to work in other areas of the service.

  • Salary range: $64.64 to $72.58 p.h. (HP4/NG7)
  • Annual leave with 17.5% loading
  • 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation

Requirements:

  • Mandatory qualifications (Occupational Therapy or Psychology or Social Work or Nursing) and proof of relevant registration
  • Possession of class C drivers' licence.
  • This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role. Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Tuberculosis.
  • Probation period may apply.
  • Pre-employment checks will be conducted including criminal history clearance.
