ATHOL ROAD PRIMARY SCHOOL EARLY LEARNING CENTRE - KINDER EDUCATOR 46/52 AGREEMENT

Kindergarten Educator

Athol Road Primary School Kindergarten is located on the Athol Road Primary School site in the south eastern suburb of Springvale South.

The kindergarten currently employs 4 Kindergarten teachers and 4 Kindergarten educators and will be employing another educator to join the team to work across both programs for the remainder of 2025. Contract extension possible for suitable applicants.

At Athol Road Primary School Kindergarten, diversity is celebrated in an environment where children feel safe to express themselves and explore different realities. The Kindergarten team work collaboratively to plan and deliver an indoor/outdoor learning program with all staff working with all 3 and 4 year old children on all days of program operation.

In 2024 the Kindergarten will operate two 3 year old and two 4 year old kindergarten programs:

3 year old program: Wednesday - Friday from 9.00am – 2.00pm

4 year old program: Monday – Tuesday from 8.30am – 4.00pm

Employment: 38 hours per week
46/52 agreement (school holiday work is not required)
VECTEA 2020 Award rates apply (VECTEA 2024 soon to be negtiated)

30 hours face to face

7.5 hours non-contact time

0.5 hour staffing meeting

WORK HOURS

MONDAY-TUESDAY: 8.00am - 4.30pm

WEDNESDAY-FRIDAY: 8.00am - 3.00pm

To be considered for this role you MUST have:

Certificate III in Early Childhood and Care

Knowledge of the NQF and EYLF

Current Working with Children Clearance

Police Record check

First aid, CPR and anaphylaxis training

Excellent communication skills

ability to work within a team environment

a passion for learning in order to make a difference in children’s lives
