Step outside the clinic and into something truly unique.
Beyond the Paddock (Formerly known as Influential Equine Therapy) is not your average therapy setting. Based just minutes from the Wyong Milk Factory on the Central Coast, our family-run practice delivers evidence-based therapy in nature, using the healing power of animals and the outdoors to support participants aged 0–65. Our small multidisciplinary team includes Occupational Therapists, Speech Pathologists and Counsellors who work closely together to offer holistic, participant-centred care.
We're on the lookout for a passionate Occupational Therapist with a love for the outdoors, nature and animals to join our warm and supportive team. You’ll deliver therapy alongside a range of friendly therapy animals—horses, goats, dogs and more—helping participants reach their goals through hands-on, animal-assisted and nature-based interventions.
Why Join Beyond the Paddock?
· Work outside the four walls of a traditional clinic in a beautiful, calming, natural environment
· Be part of a small, tight-knit team that values collaboration, flexibility and authentic relationships
· Tailor some of your schedule – flexible hours and autonomy in planning your day
· Fridays off every week – or choose to work from home if you’re looking to top up hours
· Potential to earn further income over the base salary
· Genuine work-life balance in a supportive and down-to-earth workplace culture
· Have the support of our lovely furry friends—horses, goats, dogs and more—to help your participants achieve their therapeutic goals
· Conveniently located near Wyong Milk Factory, with cafes and shops nearby
· Professional Development budget included
· Seeking NDIS Registration in the near future to cater for NDIA managed participants
About the Role:
· Deliver client-centred OT services with an animal-assisted approach
· Work with a diverse caseload of NDIS participants (0–65)
· Contribute to assessments, therapy planning and intervention in collaboration with our multidisciplinary team
· Maintain accurate, professional documentation
· Engage in regular supervision and team collaboration
What We’re Looking For:
· Experienced Occupational Therapist – NDIS and pediatric experience desired
· AHPRA registered Occupational Therapist
· Interest and/or experience in animal-assisted therapy (we’ll support the right candidate!)
· A passion for holistic, creative and person-centred therapy
· Excellent communication and time management skills
· Comfortable working in outdoor environments (rain or shine) – we have a large outdoor undercover arena and therapy rooms available to cater for all participants
· Current driver’s license and own transport
· Working with Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening (or willingness to obtain)
To apply, send your resume and a brief cover letter telling us why you’d love to work at Beyond the Paddock to our Director Laura Gould – [email protected].
