The Role:
Following a strong pipeline of inbound leads, Digital Next is seeking a confident, motivated, and experienced Digital Sales Rep to join our South Melbourne team. As a hybrid position (3 days WFH and 2 days office), this is your chance to take a front-facing role in a high-performing digital agency to make a meaningful impact on businesses across Australia and beyond.
You’ll manage the full sales cycle — from qualifying inbound leads to hunting outbound opportunities with both bespoke strategies and structured packages in your toolkit. You’ll be empowered to tailor each pitch to the client’s needs and budget and will work closely with our delivery teams to ensure that we pitch a sound marketing strategy.

Digital Next offers a growing number of digital marketing services for small to medium-sized businesses on WordPress, Shopify and BigCommerce. These include:
SEO Management
SEO Content Writing (E.g. Blogs)
SEO PR & Link Building Services
Google & Bing Ads Management
Meta Ads Management
Web Design Services (WordPress)
Website Speed Optimisation Services
WordPress Security Services
Website Hosting Services
Graphic Design (E.g. Infographics etc)
Social Media Marketing
Commission Structure (Monthly Recurring Deals):
For monthly recurring deals such as SEO, Google Ads and other marketing services, the following commission structure applies:
Outbound (New Client):
+ 20% First Month Revenue
+ 5% Recurring Revenue (lump sum after 6-month retention).
Inbound (New Client):
+ 10% First Month Revenue
+ 5% Recurring Revenue (lump sum after 6-month retention).
Upsell (Existing Client):
+ 10% First Month Additional Revenue
Commission Structure (Fixed-Price Projects):
For fixed cost projects such as website design services or ad-hoc graphic design works, the following commission structure applies:
Outbound (New Client): 10% Revenue
Inbound (New Client): 5% Revenue
Inbound (Existing Client): 5% Revenue
Key Responsibilities:
As the sales representative for a boutique digital marketing agency, you will be responsible for and expected to achieve the following:
Qualify, pitch, and close inbound leads (approx 25+ inbound leads a month).
Actively prospect and engage outbound opportunities across B2B sectors.
Conduct discovery meetings to understand client goals and propose solutions.
Create proposals and pitch presentations using Google Slides.
Record video presentations for virtual pitches.
Manage your sales pipeline using Zoho CRM and provide accurate forecasting.
Maintain client rapport during handover to delivery teams for smooth onboarding.
Hit monthly revenue targets across all service streams.
Provide a monthly report and forecast to management teams.
Answer office sales phone calls.
Qualifications, Experience & Competencies:
Whilst you will receive comprehensive training on our agency philosophy and approach to digital marketing, a successful sales executive at Digital Next will:
Have at least 2+ years of B2B sales experience in digital marketing—with a strong understanding of SEO, PPC and Web Design.
Have a proven track record of selling retainer-based marketing services both through inbound and outbound sales channels.
Have a strong hunger to meet and exceed quarterly sales targets, knowing that there are uncapped commissions at your disposal.
Have excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex marketing concepts clearly and compellingly.
Demonstrate strong consultative selling skills—you know how to uncover pain points and tailor solutions rather than pushing packages.
Be able to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels, from small business owners to marketing directors.
Be tech-savvy and process-oriented, able to learn new tools and follow structured workflows while contributing to system improvements.
Have a keen sense of urgency, ownership, and a proactive mindset. You take initiative rather than wait for things to come to you.
