About the role

Essential Plumbing and Gas is seeking an experienced Foreman Plumber to join our team in Brisbane, QLD. As our Foreman Plumber, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and coordinating the day-to-day plumbing operations on new construction sites such as New schools, Aged care facilities, Club refurbs, Small apartment buildings through out Brisbane, Ipswich, Logan and Moreton regions. This is a full-time position with opportunities for growth and development within our company.

What you'll be doing

Supervise and direct a team of plumbers to ensure all plumbing work is completed to a high standard and within project timelines

Coordinate the scheduling and allocation of plumbing resources to optimise efficiency and productivity on site

Liaise with clients, project managers, and other tradespeople to ensure seamless collaboration and problem-solving

Inspect and quality-check all plumbing installations to verify compliance with building codes and safety regulations

Provide on-the-job training and mentorship to junior plumbers to develop their skills and expertise

What we're looking for

Leadership skills with strong work ethic - Able to run a team or work independently.

Strong working knowledge of plumbing codes, regulations, and best practices within the construction industry

Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and conflict resolution skills

Ability to effectively lead, motivate, and manage a team of plumbers to achieve project goals

Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with clients, project managers, and other stakeholders

Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications

Organised and detail-oriented, with a focus on quality and efficiency
