Our Service
Our small community based service is located in Adamstown and is overseen by a parent management committee and experienced service director. Our service operates from 7.30am- 5.30pm catering for children aged 6 weeks to 6 years and up to 43 children per day. Our service is rated Excellent by ACECQA and Exceeding in all 7 quality areas by the Department of Education. We run above required ratio's ensuring more time is spent with the children and additional staffing extras are maintained e.g. additional programming time, wellbeing days, coaching programs, enhanced in-context professional learning.

ABOUT THE ROLE:
TRAINEESHIP IN CERTIFICATE III
Contract Type: Part Time Float Staff Role - 27.5 hours per week minimum (hours may be extended where staff leave cover requires)
Commencement: May 2025
Reporting to the Service Director, the successful applicant will be responsible for being part of a team of passionate educators in providing a stimulating educational environment for children in our service.
The service exceeds the minimum requirements of ratios with all age groups. The service caters to 43 children a day:
Our Nursery has 6 Infants per day with 3 Educators
Our Toddler Room has 11 children and 4 Educators
Our Preschool Room has 26 children and 4 Educators
To be considered for the position of Certificate III Qualified Educator, an applicant must have:
Willingness to engage in a Certificate III Traineeship.
NSW Working With Children Check
Availability to work any days across the week
Availability to work flexibly within our hours of operation - 7.15am and 5.30pm
A commitment to supporting nature based pedagogy and a risk based approach to play
A collaborative team approach and a democratic leadership style to support an autonomous team.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Professional presentation
As desirable criteria, an applicant may have:
First Aid in Education and Care
