JR Auto Service Gold Coast is a family-owned and operated mechanical workshop located in Biggera Waters. Our workshop is well-known for its commitment to quality, specialising in servicing a wide range of vehicles — including a large volume of European and luxury models.

We are seeking an exceptionally skilled and experienced Motor Mechanic to join our team on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate an advanced level of mechanical expertise, particularly with European vehicles, strong diagnostic capabilities, and the ability to support and mentor other technicians in the workshop.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Perform complex diagnostics and repairs across all makes and models, including European brands such as BMW, Audi, Mercedes-Benz, and Volkswagen.

Accurately identify mechanical issues and provide long-term repair solutions.

Conduct logbook servicing and preventative maintenance.

Maintain high standards of workmanship in line with our internal Quality Assurance procedures.

Assist in mentoring and supporting junior staff and apprentices.

Liaise with customers when needed, providing clear explanations of issues and repairs.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, candidates must demonstrate:

Minimum 1 year of full-time experience as a qualified mechanic (with significant exposure to European vehicles and advanced diagnostics) .

Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills using scan tools and advanced diagnostic equipment.

Sound knowledge of automotive electrical systems and engine management.

Ability to work independently and manage complex repair jobs with minimal supervision.

Trade qualified or equivalent work experience;

Valid driver’s license.

High level of attention to detail and pride in work quality.
