This well-respected community butcher’s shop is looking for an experienced butcher to join their friendly, down to earth team. Reporting to the Owner/Manager, this full-time role is crucial in ensuring they continue to provide the highest quality meat products and exceptional customer service to their loyal clientele.

About the role
Working with a high degree of autonomy you will be;

Expertly preparing, cutting, and packaging a variety of meats to customer specifications

Providing genuine friendly and professional service to all customers

Ensuring the daily set up and pack down of the meat display

Adhering to all food safety and hygiene regulations including PrimeSafe and HACCP compliance and WH&S

Working closely with the retail team to develop a strong and productive work culture

Assisting with stock control and ensuring profitable, product margins

Assisting with the general operations of the store

What we're looking for

Formal butchery qualifications or equivalent extensive experience including audits and stocktakes.

Exceptional meat cutting, trimming, and packaging skills.

Strong customer service orientation and the ability to provide expert product advice.

Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high food safety and hygiene standards.

A friendly team player with a collaborative and positive attitude.

Trustworthy.
