As a part-time Infantry Soldier, you’ll be in the thick of the action. You’ll get paid to train with weapons, learn combat tactics and keep fit, all while working as part of a close-knit team.
In this flexible role you’ll master a variety of skills including the handling of advanced weaponry such as rifles, machine guns, grenades and anti-armour weapons. You’ll also learn vital survival tactics regardless of the season, weather or terrain.

Location
You will train for 3 weeks in Wagga Wagga, NSW. Following your training, you will be posted to an Army unit close to where you live.
Entry Requirements
For this role, you must be over 17 at time of enlistment and have completed an Australian Year 10 education (or equivalent) with passes in English and Mathematics. You must also be an Australian citizen and able to successfully obtain a security clearance. If you are not an Australian Citizen you may still be eligible to join the ADF if you meet certain criteria, please visit the ADF Careers Eligibility Page for more details.
