The role of Finance Manager is a pivotal role, that will ensure the financial health and stability of the company working closely with the Director and management team, providing strategic financial planning, effective budget management, and accurate financial reporting. Key duties of the role include but not limited to:
Financial Planning:
Develop and implement financial strategies, forecasts, and budgets.
Evaluate the company's financial performance & recommend improvements.
Budget Management:
Create and maintain comprehensive budgets, monitoring actual performance against forecasts.
Identify cost-saving opportunities and efficiencies in financial operations.
Financial Reporting:
Prepare and present accurate financial reports to senior management, stakeholders, and external parties.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and tax requirements.
Cash Flow Management:
Manage and optimize the company's cash flow, including short-term and long-term cash planning.
Assess and mitigate financial risks.
Team Leadership:
Supervise and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of collaboration, excellence, and accountability.
Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
Investment and Capital Management:
Evaluate investment opportunities and make recommendations to maximize returns.
Monitor capital requirements and recommend strategies for funding.
Financial Compliance:
Ensure that financial practices and procedures align with legal regulations and industry best practice.
Collaborate with tax consultants.
Candidate Profile
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. (CPA or CA preferred).
Proven experience as a Finance Manager or similar role, with at least 3 years of relevant experience.
Strong understanding of financial principles, regulations, and industry trends.
Proficiency in financial software and tools (MYOB, Xero, Employment Hero).
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Effective leadership and communication abilities.
Current Australian Citizen or Perm Resident
