QuantSec provides Managed Services and Professional Services (project delivery from presales consultancy through to implementation and handover) with our core expertise in Networks, Network Security, Infrastructure and Systems including On-premise and Cloud solutions.

We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure and Systems Consultant to join our support team. The ideal candidate will be based in the Sydney region, have a broad background in IT Infrastructure, with deep experience with Systems/Server platforms and related technologies, Microsoft 365 / Cloud services and Intune. This role requires an experienced all-rounder who enjoys being hands on, yet has the ability, experience and drive to consult, propose, and implement IT solutions for our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

Managed Services Support: Be an integral part of our support team, being an escalation point for Infrastructure and Microsoft related issues and requests across a wide range of customers and solutions. Provide guidance and Level 3 support on Microsoft 365 applications, Intune-managed devices and server and storage platforms.

Design and Implementation: Configure, manage, and deploy Server Infrastructure, and Microsoft 365 services including but not limited to Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, and OneDrive.

Device Management: Oversee the management and deployment of mobile and desktop devices using Microsoft Intune, ensuring a secure and compliant environment.

Security & Compliance: Implement and monitor security measures for the protection of computer systems, networks, and information including the Microsoft 365 and Intune environments. Leverage Microsoft security solutions such as Advanced Threat Protection (ATP), Azure Information Protection (AIP), and Conditional Access policies.

System & Server platforms: Support and administration of Windows Server, Hyper-V, VMware and related configurations and systems support, including AD, DNS, DHCP, Backup solutions, DR, patching and maintenance etc.

Collaboration: Work alongside the wider QuantSec team to integrate solutions such as Microsoft 365 and Intune with other systems and applications within the enterprise.

Documentation: Maintain documentation on configurations, operations, and troubleshooting procedures for the managed environments. Create/contribute to project related documentations such as Design and As-built.

Monitoring & Reporting: Monitor system health, capacity, and performance metrics. Contribute to reporting requirements for stakeholders where required.

Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices. Recommend and implement improvements wherever necessary.

Onsite: Some onsite work at customer sites or datacentres will be required from time to time.

After-Hours Support: When required there will be some After-Hours support effort or project delivery, with additional allowances to compensate.

Qualifications:

Minimum 8 years industry experience.

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field - highly desirable.

Relevant Microsoft Certifications are essential, such as the M365, Azure, Windows Server etc.

Relevant vendor certifications such as VMware/Veeam etc also highly regarded.

Solid organizational skills and attention to detail.

Proven experience with Systems deployment, integrations and support, including Microsoft 365 configurations, administration, and best practices.

Solid understanding of Microsoft Intune, including device enrolment, compliance policies, and application deployment.

Familiarity with PowerShell scripting for administrative tasks and automation highly regarded.

Knowledge of security and compliance standards and best practices within Microsoft 365 and Intune environments would be beneficial.
