About the role

Teacher Appointments is seeking an experienced and passionate English Teacher to join a dynamic teaching team at a Secondary School in Logan, Queensland. This is a full-time position with an immediate start, offering the opportunity to make a lasting impact on the education and development of secondary school students.

What you'll be doing

Plan and deliver engaging and effective English lessons for students in years 7-10

Assess and provide feedback on student work to support their academic growth

Contribute to the development and implementation of the school's English curriculum

Collaborate with other teachers and faculty members to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment

Participate in extracurricular activities and school events to enrich the student experience

Maintain detailed records and communicate effectively with parents and guardians

What we're looking for

Relevant teaching qualifications and registration to teach in Queensland

Minimum 2 years' experience teaching English at the secondary school level

Psychology as an additional area would be advantageous, but not necessary

Thorough knowledge of the Australian Curriculum and assessment frameworks

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students, parents, and colleagues

Ability to create and implement innovative lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles

Commitment to ongoing professional development and a passion for student-centred learning
