Posted 4 days ago
We’re looking for a passionate Video Editor and Motion Graphics Designer to join our growing team at Dot Humanity – an organisation in the NDIS and wellbeing sector, producing high-quality educational content, 2D animations, social media reels, and promotional videos.
About the Role
As our new Video Editor, you’ll be responsible for:
Editing engaging and high-quality videos for online courses, podcasts, and brand campaigns.
Creating 2D animated explainer videos to showcase services and ideas.
Working with scripts, voiceovers, and storyboards to bring concepts to life.
Collaborating with the production team to edit interviews, webinars, and product demos.
Managing multiple video projects with fast turnaround times.
What You’ll Bring
✅ A Strong Portfolio of Previous Work
You have a demonstrated history of producing high-quality videos, with a focus on 2D explainer animations, brand storytelling, educational content, and digital campaigns. Your showreel reflects your ability to simplify complex ideas into visually engaging, easy-to-understand narratives that connect with diverse audiences.
✅ Advanced Editing and Animation Software Proficiency
You are highly skilled in Adobe Premiere Pro for video editing, After Effects for motion graphics and animation, and Illustrator for vector-based design work. You can confidently navigate the Adobe Creative Suite and are capable of delivering professional-grade videos with clean transitions, typography, sound synchronisation, and branding elements.
✅ Motion Graphics and Animation Experience
You specialise in creating eye-catching 2D animations and explainer videos, from concept through to final render. You understand animation principles, composition, timing, and visual rhythm. Experience in 3D animation or tools such as Blender or Cinema 4D is a welcome bonus, though not essential.
✅ Creative Thinking and Storytelling Skills
You’re not just technically proficient — you bring creativity and strategic thinking to every project. You understand how to tell a story visually and can translate ideas, scripts, and briefs into compelling visual experiences. You’re comfortable contributing ideas in brainstorming sessions and welcome feedback to refine your work.
✅ Self-Driven and Deadline-Oriented
You’re organised, reliable, and thrive in both independent and collaborative settings. You can manage multiple video projects simultaneously, prioritise tasks effectively, and consistently meet deadlines without compromising quality. You take ownership of your work and are proactive in solving problems or suggesting improvements.
✅ Attention to Detail
You ensure every cut, transition, graphic, and audio cue is refined. You understand that polish and professionalism matter, especially when producing content for public or professional platforms.
✅ Adaptability and Continuous Learning
You stay up to date with trends in video production, animation, and content marketing. You’re open to trying new techniques, experimenting with styles, and learning new tools that enhance your craft.
