About the role

As an experienced Boilermaker at Brown Contracting Solutions, you will play a vital role in the construction, maintenance and repair of industrial infrastructure. This full-time position offers the opportunity to work for a well-established company in the Hunter Valley mining industry.

What you'll be doing

• Interpreting drawings and specifications for fabrication, installation and repair tasks
• Working on a vast range of CHPP & material handling projects
• Assisting the team with the development of JSA's & work permits
• Collaborating with the team to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the required standards
• Structural integrity of site infrastructure
• Installation of structural steel & components

What we're looking for

• Formal qualifications in Boilermaking
• Highly desirable - experience in coal handling preparation plants (CHPP) maintenance, structural Integrity, installation and modifications to structural steel & platework
• Additional skills though not essential including MDG25, EWP, WAH & rigging/dogging tickets
• Ability to read and interpret drawings
• A proactive ‘can-do’ attitude
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and quality
• Effective communication skills and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions
