Yardperson / Hire Assistant - Flexihire Emerald

We aim to provide modern well maintained hire equipment at a competitive price when our customers need it.

Flexihire is currently seeking to appoint a dynamic and motivated person to join the team in our established Emerald branch. We are looking for a self-starter with a strong work ethic and the ability to think on their feet in a fast paced environment.

Ideally the candidate will live or be willing to move to Emerald as this position requires a dedicated local presence.

• Computer literate
• Ability to communicate with a wide range of people and demonstrate sound interpersonal skills
• Willingness to follow instructions and ask for assistance when needed
• Demonstrated punctuality and reliability
• Commitment to work as part of a team

The key responsibilities required for this role include:

• Loading and unloading equipment from customers and trucks
• Cleaning, recording and inspecting all equipment returned to the branch
• Reporting equipment damage and refuelling equipment
• Assisting the front office
• Assist in keeping workshop, yard and service area clean, tidy and safe
• Ability to work autonomously or as part of a team
• Sound Written and verbal communication skills
• Current drivers licence
• Forklift licence – highly regarded but not essential
