The Opportunity
Join Monash Rural Health as Senior Lecturer (Practice) and help deliver clinical teaching excellence in Gippsland. This role supports students through coordinating the Year 4C Psychiatry program and organising mental health toolbox teaching in General Practice. It enriches student learning by bringing clinical expertise into the curriculum and strengthening links with the local health sector.
This position develops and delivers Psychiatry teaching resources, facilitates small group learning and prepares assessments aligned with curriculum objectives. It engages students in learning informed by clinical practice and provides meaningful evaluation of their skills. Strong professional links with hospital and community mental health settings will ensure rich and authentic learning experiences.
We are seeking someone with an advanced degree in a discipline relevant to Psychiatry, current medical registration with AHPRA and substantial professional or clinical experience. Strong interpersonal skills, the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and students and a demonstrated commitment to integrating clinical expertise into education are also essential.
This is an exciting opportunity to shape psychiatric education in a rural setting and contribute to the future of mental health care and we encourage you to apply.
