Are you passionate about supporting victims of crime and empowering them on their recovery journey? Junction Support Services is seeking a Family Violence Practice Lead for the Victims Assistance Program (VAP). In this role, you will provide specialized support to victims of family violence, building capacity within the VAP workforce, and ensuring best practice guidelines are followed. You will work closely with key stakeholders to deliver seamless and accessible services to victims, with a focus on priority groups such as Aboriginal victims, CALD communities, and LGBTIQ+ individuals. Your role will involve conducting secondary consultations, improving practice guidelines, and engaging in community and stakeholder outreach to enhance service delivery.
Key responsibilities include:
Building family violence capacity within the VAP workforce through training, coaching, and mentoring.
Providing direct support and secondary consultation to non-specialist family violence workers.
Ensuring best practice frameworks are applied in supporting victim survivors.
Engaging with community and stakeholders to facilitate coordinated services.
Developing tailored responses for priority groups and contributing to continuous improvement in service delivery.

Selection Criteria:
To excel in this role, you will need:
A Bachelor of Social Work or equivalent qualification.
Demonstrated experience in family violence practice and support.
Skills in building capacity within teams and mentoring others.
Strong communication, networking, and stakeholder engagement abilities.
A commitment to empowering victims and working within a trauma-informed framework.
