Beaumont&Beaumont is asking for expressions of interest for an anticipated client need for APS4 equivalent Administrative Support Officers to perform a range of administrative and data entry roles within a Commonwealth Government Department in Canberra.
These roles would be in-office, full-time opportunities, with competitive salaries, 15.4% superannuation, and access to leave entitlements.
The duties may vary from role to role, but you will typically:
- Complete administrative functions to support the work of the team including ensuring compliance with policy and processes.
- Assist with monitoring group mailboxes.
- Develop and maintain stakeholder relationships.
- Ensure the timely progression of applications to support trauma-informed best practice.
- Demonstrate self-awareness and ability to self-manage in a complex, changing environment whilst in a diverse team with a high workload in a high-risk environment.
- Assist in drafting documentation for review by senior staff.
- Maintain and use databases to collate and present data and contribute to the development of reports.
- Assist with the coordination of information technology and telephony services.
- Perform data entry tasks.
Our ideal candidate:
- Has experience in administrative roles in a professional or Commonwealth Government environment.
- Has experience performing data entry work.
- Maintains a well-developed understanding of relevant legislation and policy frameworks.
- Demonstrates empathy and understanding and communicates effectively in a trauma-informed way.
- Assists in building a culture that is supportive of staff and your own well-being.
- Possesses strong communication skills and follows directions.
- Manages workload effectively to meet deadlines and targets of the team.
- Communicates confidently and presents messages in a clear, concise and articulate way
- Applies legislation, policies, procedures and information management requirements.
- Displays relevant financial and computer literacy skills.
Experience working in high-pressure, trauma informed environments, especially dealing with sensitive material would be highly desirable. Experience in administrative roles and previous work in Commonwealth Government would be highly advantageous.
To be eligible for this role, you must be an Australian citizen and be willing to obtain a Baseline Security Clearance with the Australian Government Vetting Agency.
