About the Role:

As the cook at our centre, you’ll play a key role in supporting the health and development of young children by preparing nutritious, delicious meals that follow the Munch & Move guidelines. Working closely with educators, you’ll help create menus that are both wholesome and appealing to little taste buds.

Your role will also include engaging children in hands-on cooking activities and contributing to our garden program, helping to grow fresh produce and promote a love for healthy food from an early age.

What We’re Looking For:

Industry experience in cooking for children (early childhood or similar setting preferred)

Strong understanding of child nutrition, allergy management, and dietary requirements

Experience with Munch & Move guidelines and a passion for healthy eating

Ability to adapt meals for fussy eaters while meeting nutritional needs

A team player who communicates well with educators to support menu planning

Willingness to engage with children through cooking experiences and gardening activities

Relevant Qualifications and Certifications:

Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or higher

Food Safety Supervisor certification (or willingness to obtain)

Current Working with Children’s Check or state-specific equivalent.

Mandatory Reporting certificate
