We are seeking applications for enthusiastic and experienced Clinical Nurse to provide high quality outreach visiting services to patients in residential aged care facilities, in a supportive and collaborative team environment.
This vacancy is for a Permanent Full Time, Permanent Part Time, Fixed Term Full Time, and Fixed Term Part Time appointments. Fixed Term appointment will be made with the possibility of extension(s) and/or permanency.
What is our Clinical Nurse – Residential Care Line role?
The Residential Care Line Service based in Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital (SCGH), is Western Australia’s only State-wide, Nurse led outreach service providing support to residential aged care staff to provide care in place.
Our passionate team of nurses work collaboratively with Residential Aged Care Facility (RACF) staff and practitioners, providing clinical excellence, expert knowledge and education to empower RACF staff to improve the quality-of-life of older people living in residential care, supporting their choice to receive care in their ‘own home’.
We are seeking enthusiastic and innovative Clinical Nurse, from primary care or hospital settings with aged care expertise to join our team.
The position, under the direction of the relevant Senior Registered Nurse(s), practises as a Clinical Nurse in keeping with the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Board Registration Standards and Nursing Practice Decision Making Flowchart. Clinical Nurse provides advanced, comprehensive and evidence-based nursing care to patients as part of a multidisciplinary team, and acts as a role model, providing leadership, support, team building and change management through respect, recognition and collaboration.
Applicants will be required to support a roster that operates from 0800-1800 Monday - Sunday.

Eligibility to Apply: Australian citizenship or permanent residency is an essential requirement for applicants to be considered for permanent positions in the public sector. Whilst this selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy, it may also be used to fill other "similar" vacancies throughout the health service. In addition to this, should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised vacancy, then the next most suitable applicant may also be selected from this process. Both of these options remain valid for a period of twelve (12) months from when the authorised delegate endorses the recruitment decision.
