About the role

Based in our Head office in Essendon Fields with some working from home opportunities available, an excellent career opportunity exists for a Software Engineer in our Common Use Self Service (CUSS) Platform Team who has a strong desire to contribute and participate in the exciting opportunities arising within a dynamic, technology business with growth and expansion plans.

Working collaboratively with key internal and external stakeholders, this position is responsible for supporting and developing Elenium software solutions which will be used by passengers and airline staff every day in airports around the world.

Some of the key responsibilities include:

Develop and maintain software applications that power self-service bag drop and kiosks units.

Develop unit and integration tests for features. fixes and improvements.

Perform code reviews, ensuring code quality and adherence to our standards.

Attend meeting, workshops or similar with customers at varying levels of business, end-users and other stakeholders.

Collaborate with the internal team on larger features and improvements.

Required to be rostered as part of the on-call 24x7 escalation team for after hours system support.

Skills and experience

Experience

Must be an Australian Citizen or have Permanent Residency.

Minimum of 3 years professional experience in software development.

Experience with C# and .NET

Experience with supporting applications and infrastructure.

Skills:

Strong verbal and written communication skills and an ability to maintain excellent relationships with a range of key stakeholders.

Good organisational skills with an ability to plan and prioritise competing work requirements and work towards tight deadlines.

Adaptable and able to work autonomously and in dynamic, fast paced team environment.

Proactive and reactive problem solving skills with an ability to “think outside the box”

Bonus Points for the Following:

Experience speaking directly to customers regarding their requirements and expectations.

Experience in airline, freight logistics systems or other complex enterprise systems.

Experience working in and with remote teams.

Experience with WPF

Experience with hardware integration development

Experience with or knowledge of test automation, test engineering, continuous integration and continuous deployment tools and processes.
