First established in Queensland in 2022 Your Life Your Words is a bespoke memoir writing service. We also provide our services in NSW, ACT and WA. And now we are looking to expand into Victoria.

We are seeking applications from tertiary qualified creative writers with a minimum 5 years’ experience or those who have a minimum of 8 years dedicated creative writing experience.

But… we just don’t want brilliant writers; we need special people who have an innate way of tapping into the essence of one’s soul! You will become part of a wonderful pool of Executive Writers to service assignments within Victoria.

You will visit clients in their homes and compose their Life Stories. All clients need to do is TALK while you take them down memory lane and write their memoir for them. Our writers produce the document in its entirety. All of our writers consider it an honour to write someone's memoir and we hope you will too!

To be one of our Executive writers you need to possess:

a very confident and personable disposition

top notch interviewing and probing skills

excellent note taking experience

experience using audio recorders

an empathetic nature

finely tuned listening abilities

advanced skills with WORD - presentations and formatting

confidence in taking video recordings

and of utmost importance will be your passion for real life storytelling…

With your application, please include a profile of yourself with a photograph, an example of your non-fiction writing skills – no less than 800 words. And any other examples that you can provide that demonstrate your talent as a non-fiction writer.

Please let us know where you reside and the surrounding areas that you would be happy to travel to - own vehicle is essential. At some point in time, we will be requiring two referees.
