Senior Communications Advisor

Location: Sydney CBD

Employment type: Fulltime Ongoing Role

Salary: Clerk Grade 9/10 - $125,693 to $138,510 per year

Your role

Come join the team at Homes NSW and use your expertise in and passion for communications to support NSW Government's largest-ever investment in social housing. Your work will contribute to creating a fairer, more inclusive society where everyone has access to safe and affordable housing.

As a Senior Communications Advisor in our External Communications Team, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering strategic communications that support Homes NSW's vision to deliver quality homes and services that change lives and end homelessness. Your efforts will help build stronger communities and improve the lives of countless individuals and families.

What you'll do

• Develop and execute comprehensive communication plans that align with Homes NSW's strategic objectives.
• Create high-quality communication materials, across print, digital, social media and more, ensuring they resonate with our diverse audiences.
• Foster and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including executive and project staff, other government agencies and industry partners.
• Manage communication projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with organisational goals. Demonstrate a high level of responsibility and ability to drive outcomes.
• Utilise digital content and marketing platforms to enhance our outreach and engagement efforts.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of communication strategies and make data-driven improvements.

What we're looking for

• Strategic communications planning: Proven experience in developing and implementing strategic communication plans that align with organisational goals and priorities.
• Excellent writing, editing and storytelling skills, with a keen eye for detail. Demonstrated ability to produce engaging and accurate communication materials across various platforms, with a keen eye for detail. Solid understanding of the NSW Government branding system.
• Stakeholder relationships & project management: Strong skills in building and maintaining relationships with diverse stakeholders and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Digital content & marketing platforms: Proficiency in using digital tools and platforms to create and distribute content, with an understanding of current trends and best practices.
