Role Type: 18-month temporary cover, part-time job-share role, 2 June 2025 to 27 Nov 2026
Grade: Service NSW Grade 9/10
Location: Haymarket / Remote
About the role:
As a Ministerial and Parliamentary Services (MaPS) Senior Advisor for Service NSW, you will be responsible for the Parliamentary Portfolio.
This is a part-time (2 days per week) job-share arrangement (Wed and Fri).
What You'll Be Doing:
Co-ordinating and delivering high-quality:
- Advice: Tackling sensitive, complex, and time-critical issues.
- Responses: Crafting responses to cabinet and parliamentary matters, inquiries, and diverse requests.
- Advocacy: Standing up for customers to ensure fairness in the process.
- Relationships: Nurturing connections with Ministerial offices, corporate partners, and key stakeholders.

Your portfolio responsibilities will include coordination of agency wide house folder notes and responses to questions on notice, parliamentary support services, relevant information requests from partnering enforcement agencies, legal requests, cabinet comments and GIPAs.
To be successful in this role:
- You are collaborative, courageous, agile, and disciplined about delivering positive outcomes for the agency, with the ability to think strategically and exercise strong personal and professional judgement
- You can easily navigate complexity, build strong relationships, and manage competing demands and tight deadlines in a politically sensitive environment
- You have extensive knowledge of ministerial and parliamentary processes with the ability to thrive in a complex, high volume, regulated customer service environment with competing priorities and short turnaround times
- You can demonstrate your proven experience successfully developing high performing, collaborative and engaged teams

Salary Grade 9/10, with the base salary for this role starting at $126,898 base plus superannuation
