We're Hiring! – Full-Time Hybrid Centre Cook and Assistant Educator

We have an exciting opportunity for a Full-Time Hybrid Centre Cook and Assistant Educator to join our warm, supportive team!

About the Role:
This is a dual role where you will be responsible for preparing healthy, delicious meals for the children each day while also stepping into the classroom as an Assistant Educator to support children’s learning experiences.
You'll work closely with our educational team to create a nurturing, safe, and engaging environment where children thrive both in the kitchen and the classroom.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and prepare nutritious meals and snacks following dietary requirements (including allergies and cultural preferences).

Maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen environment, following all food safety standards.

Order and manage food supplies and stock levels.

Collaborate with the educational team to assist in the daily care, supervision, and educational activities for children.

Build warm, respectful relationships with children, families, and colleagues.

Support the centre's philosophy, policies, and procedures.

About You:

A genuine passion for food, nutrition, and working with children.

Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care or higher is a must.

Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (or willing to obtain).

Experience in a kitchen or cooking role (early childhood setting preferred but not essential).

Ability to multitask, prioritise, and work collaboratively within a team environment.

Strong understanding of health, safety, and hygiene regulations.

Current Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain).
