Business Chamber Queensland is seeking a Senior International Trade Officer.
The role of the Senior International Trade Officer is to support the Manager, International Trade & Strategic Relationships with projects and initiatives to further grow the international trade portfolio, while providing daily Certificates of Origin issuing services, and the relevant FTAs and international trade advice to Queensland exporters as integral part of the international trade team. International trade expertise and industry experience are required for this role, so as reliability and ability to deliver within short timeframes.

The opportunity:
Reporting directly to the Manager, International Trade & Strategic Relationships and as a member of the International Team, you will provide export support, advice and documentation for Queensland businesses exporting their goods and services internationally.
Business Chamber Queensland is a JAS-ANZ accredited certification body, authorised to issue Certificates of Origin and is a Regional Certifying Body in locations across Queensland, strong attention to detail and a focus on process is required.
Key Responsibilities:
You will have the following skills and experience:
Advise clients accordingly in relation to the certification requirements of the various Free Trade Agreements Australia has with other countries
Advise clients with other export documentation matters relevant to international trade such as overseas customs procedures, tariff rates for products, and other export matters
Processing all export documentation as per international guidelines and standards
Assisting the International team with the ACCI & JAS-ANZ audits
Liaising with other areas of Business Chamber Queensland to assist and understand export documentation and international trade
Assist manager with project work including Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) training modules updates, conducting export and FTAs training with clients, international market research and analysis, trade policy matters, market surveys, export diagnostics for clients.
Participate at networking events when required
Reporting key data to the Manager as required
Using CRM to record client contact and generate invoices
Collaborate and communicate with other team members and head office staff
Other duties as requested by the Manager
Essentials:
Tertiary qualification(s) in International Business, and/or a related discipline and the relevant industry experience in international trade
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous and changing environment as well as the ability to work under pressure, prioritise and manage multiple tasks to meet deadlines
Excellent written and verbal communications skills
Ability to work as part of a team and helping others where needed to ensure proper documentation processing and excellent customer service.
Provide excellent customer service to support and grow our client base
