Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Customer Service Coordinator with a strong knowledge of sea freight to join their dynamic and happy team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for customer service, excellent communication skills, and a keen eye for detail along with an operational background. This role is pivotal in ensuring our clients receive the highest level of service and support throughout the shipping process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries and resolving issues related to sea freight shipments
  • Coordinate and manage sea freight bookings, ensuring all documentation is accurate and complete
  • Liaise with shipping lines, overseas agents, and customs to ensure timely and efficient cargo movement
  • Track and monitor shipments, providing regular updates to clients on the status of their goods
  • Handle any discrepancies or delays, proactively communicating with clients and finding swift resolutions
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored logistics solutions
  • Assist with invoicing and ensure all billing is accurate and timely.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to streamline operations and improve service delivery

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a customer service role within the freight forwarding industry
  • Excellent knowledge of sea freight processes, documentation, and regulations
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Cargowise knowledge would be advantageous but not essential.
  • A proactive and problem-solving attitude
