About the role

Benoa Holdings Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced or at least passionate inexperienced Dairy Farm Hand/Milker to join their team at their Certified Organic Dairy Farm in Pound Creek, VIC. This full-time role will involve all aspects of dairy farm operations, including the milking and caring for a herd of dairy cows.

What you'll be doing

Milking cows twice a day on a 50 Stand Rotary Dairy

Feeding and watering the herd

Monitoring the health and wellbeing of the animals

Carrying out general farm maintenance and cleaning duties

Assisting with the calving process and raising calves

Operating and maintaining farm machinery and equipment

Ensuring compliance with all relevant health, safety and environmental regulations.

What we're looking for

Previous experience working on a dairy farm, ideally in a milking role but not essential.

Knowledge of dairy farm operations and animal husbandry preferable.

Proficiency in the use of dairy farming equipment and machinery is ideal but not essential.

Strong physical fitness and the ability to work long hours

A commitment to Certified Organic Milk production, animal welfare and

sustainable farming practices

Good communication and teamwork skills

A current/valid drivers licence and your own transport to and from work.

The willingness to work flexible hours including early mornings and weekends.
