Operations Coordinator
Consolidated Plant Services
Posted 5 days ago
Love solving problems? Thrive under pressure? You’ll fit right in.
At CPS, the Operations Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring every plant inspection starts with the right plan, the right labour, and the right preparation.
We see what matters — the overlooked fault, the missing document, the silent risk — and we act before it becomes a problem.
When we do this well, people go home safe, projects stay on track, and the industry gets just a little more serious about doing things properly.
We don’t just inspect. We protect.
We don’t just report. We shape outcomes.
We see what matters — because what we do matters.
As an Operations Coordinator, you’ll be trusted to triage fast, communicate early, and keep labour effectively deployed across some of Australia's largest construction and infrastructure projects.
What You’ll Be Doing
Managing the daily delivery of inspections: job readiness, labour assignment, and live triage
Working closely with assessors — calling, coordinating, and supporting in real-time
Triage and prioritisation based on client needs, project demands, and resource changes
Working daily with the Plant Administrator to ensure inspections are fully prepped and ready for dispatch
Tracking inspection workflows using CPS systems and client-based operational software tools
Maintaining live dashboards for labour utilisation and inspection progress
Communicating clearly with internal and external stakeholders on changes, issues, and completions
Accountabilities
Labour and assessor utilisation across all active projects
On-time daily delivery of inspections and plant inductions
Accuracy and effectiveness of live triage decisions
Communication clarity between CPS assessors, clients, and documentation teams
Proactive problem-solving under changing conditions
Upholding CPS values: clarity, consistency, and teamwork
You’ll Be Right For This If You:
Have service administration, field scheduling, or logistics coordination experience, ideally around mobile plant or construction fleets
Understand how fast project conditions can change — and stay calm under pressure
Communicate clearly, assertively, and respectfully — even under tight deadlines
Like structured systems but are flexible enough to adapt plans minute-by-minute
Are comfortable learning platforms like Service Mate, CP Insite, 3D Safety & Chekrite
Want to play a real part in protecting people, projects, and standards
Where This Can Go
This role sets the foundation for advancing into operations leadership roles — managing field scheduling, leading plant inspection support teams, or owning client operational relationships.
You’ll build frontline operational leadership experience in an environment where doing things properly — and professionally — matters.
