About the role:
This is a dynamic, phone-based contact centre role, supporting customers through the home insurance claims journey. Key responsibilities include:

  • Start date: Monday, 12th May.
  • Full-time, 37.5 hours per week on a rotating roster between 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM, Monday to Saturday.
  • Saturday shifts required only once every 7–8 weeks, with a rostered day off (RDO) in return.
  • As part of the application process, shortlisted candidates will need to attend a group interview/assessment centre at North Lakes on Wednesday, 7th May.
  • Managing a high volume of inbound calls to lodge and progress home insurance claims.
  • Acting as the first point of contact for customers, providing empathetic support, regular updates, and building trust throughout the claims process.
  • Gathering and documenting accurate information to assess and determine claim outcomes in line with policy guidelines and Product Disclosure Statements (PDS).
  • Reviewing reports from builders, engineers, and suppliers to make informed claims decisions.
  • Providing clear, timely updates to customers and setting realistic expectations regarding next steps and timeframes.
  • Liaising with internal teams, builders, and suppliers to coordinate repairs and deliver seamless outcomes.
  • Maintaining a personal portfolio of claims, ensuring clear, detailed record-keeping and case management.
  • Proactively resolving customer issues, handling conflicts with care and understanding, and always acting in the customer's best interests.
  • Collaborating effectively with colleagues to support broader team goals while also delivering on individual KPIs.
  • Contributing to an efficient, customer-centric claims experience through strong teamwork and problem-solving skills.

About you:

  • Exceptional customer service skills and a genuine passion for helping people.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to set clear expectations and provide empathetic support.
  • High resilience and emotional intelligence, particularly when assisting customers who may be distressed.
  • A proactive mindset with the ability to follow structured processes and use sound judgement.
  • Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritise and multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong computer literacy and the ability to quickly navigate multiple systems and platforms.
  • A high level of accountability, integrity, and professionalism, especially when handling sensitive information.
  • Availability to work full-time hours and commit to the full training period without planned leave.
  • Previous experience in a similar contact centre or claims role is highly regarded, but not essential — full training and ongoing support will be provided.
