Sales Estimator – Commercial & Industrial Projects

An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Estimator to join a leading player in the commercial and industrial construction industry, specialising in insulated panel projects. With a strong reputation built over decades, this company delivers high-quality work across cold rooms, freezers, chillers, and process facilities.

About the Role:
Reporting to the Panel Sales Manager, the Estimator will play a key role in the preparation of accurate, competitive cost estimates for insulated panel projects. Your contribution will be critical to project success and client satisfaction. Responsibilities will include:

• Reviewing and analysing scopes, drawings, and specifications.
• Performing detailed quantity take-offs and cost estimates.
• Sourcing and evaluating supplier and subcontractor pricing.
• Preparing and submitting detailed project quotes.
• Collaborating with internal teams to ensure smooth project handovers.
• Keeping up-to-date with industry trends and market conditions.

This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, based in Salisbury, Brisbane.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately measure and price materials and labour from construction documentation.
• Develop and maintain strong supplier and subcontractor relationships.
• Review and refine cost estimates to ensure accuracy and competitiveness.
• Work closely with project teams to finalise scopes and budgets.
• Identify potential cost risks and propose value-engineering solutions.

What You’ll Need:

• Previous estimating experience within the commercial or industrial construction sectors.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent numerical and analytical skills.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong ability to work independently and manage multiple tenders at once.
• Experience in the Insulated Panel industry is advantageous but not essential.
• Background in shop-fitting or architectural cladding estimating is favourable.
