Core Talent is partnering with a reputable Tier 2 electrical contractor currently seeking an experienced Electrical Leading Hand to join their team on a permanent basis.
Recognised as a leading contractor across Queensland, our client specialises in delivering high-quality electrical solutions across a diverse portfolio of projects, including Education, Healthcare, Commercial, and Industrial sectors, with project values typically ranging from $5m to $10m

On offer is a competitive rate of $56ph + Vehicle + Super + Perks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and lead a team of electricians and apprentices on various job sites
• Allocate daily tasks and ensure work is completed efficiently and to standard
• Interpret electrical plans and schematics to guide installation or maintenance tasks
• Perform hands-on electrical work, including wiring, conduit installation, switchboard installation, and fault finding
• Maintain a strong focus on workplace health and safety (WHS/OHS)
• Communicate effectively with site supervisors, project managers, and clients
• Monitor job progress and assist with scheduling and resource planning
• Provide on-the-job training and mentoring for apprentices
• Ensure all tools, equipment, and materials are properly used and maintained
• Assist with quality control and final inspections of completed work

Requirements:

• Fully licensed electrician with valid trade certification
• Minimum 5 years experience post grad experience, with at least 1-2 years leading hand/management experience.
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, standards, and safety practices
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• White Card and relevant safety tickets
