Are you passionate about football, youth development, and creating lasting community impact through sport? Join a unique partnership between ACPE and Liverpool Football Club to help deliver an innovative football development program across Victoria.
About the Role
We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Sports Development Officer & Operational Lead to take charge of planning, coordinating, and delivering community-based football initiatives, aligned with Liverpool FC’s world-class coaching methodology.
Working closely with the Head of Football, Technical Director, and Head of Partnerships, you’ll play a key leadership role in expanding football participation, mentoring coaches, and building strong community ties.
What You’ll Do
Plan and implement football programs across schools and communities.
Deliver inclusive, skill-building sessions for young people.
Engage with schools, councils, and sporting groups to grow participation.
Mentor and develop local coaches through workshops and training.
Oversee program operations, coaching standards, and player experiences.
Promote the program at events, media appearances, and with partners.
Support administrative and reporting functions to ensure smooth delivery.
What You’ll Bring
Tertiary qualification in Sports Science, PE, Sport Management or related.
Minimum UEFA B Licence (or equivalent) coaching accreditation.
Strong understanding of grassroots football and coaching best practice.
Proven leadership in community sport development.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A valid Working with Children Check and full Australian work rights.
Desirable Skills
Knowledge of English football academy models.
Experience in coach education or developing coaching syllabi.
Background in sports marketing or community engagement.
Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and dynamic program settings.
