Key Responsibilities and Reporting

The Retail Assistant Level 2 will be responsible to the Manager, but will be required to operate independently and without supervision in the following key responsibility areas which include, but are not limited to:

• To be part of the FB Team made up of Staff and Volunteers

• To promote FB WHS safety and food safety practices

• Working alongside volunteers

• Display of goods in or about the shop

• Wrapping/packing of goods for dispatch & shop

• Receiving of goods

• Loss prevention

• Demonstration of goods for sale

• Receipt, preparation, packing of goods for repair or replacement and the minor repair of goods

• Cleaning store and warehouse

• Clerical work as required as at Clerical Level 1

• Forklift work when required

• Any other tasks associated and falling within the Retail Award Level 2 with the running of The FoodBasket as needed

• To be an ambassador for Life Church Maryborough and its ministry the FoodBasket

These key responsibilities will form part of a six monthly KPI assessment.

Qualifications & Skills

• Previous retail or customer service experience is preferred

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Basic clerical and computer skills.

• Forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification prior to start.
