SENIOR AWS DEVOPS ENGINEER – AI OPS/DATA OPS

• 6-month contract
• Greenfield project within enterprise client
• Sydney office – 2days/week Hybrid working

THE ROLE

A large-scale enterprise client is searching for an AWS devops engineer with exposure to ai/data ops to join their project team for an initial 6-month period. In this project you will be preparing and managing an environment for an exciting POC style project to be built by the wider team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Build and maintain Dev→Pre-Prod→Prod pipelines for AI Ops components
• Automate deployment of chatbot UI, Lambda-based auto-actions, and Bedrock endpoints
• Ensure observability for all components (AI models, data pipeline, agent actions)
• Support model retraining, scaling, and version control
• Integrate notifications and ticketing with ServiceNow, Slack, and Teams
• Independently manage environment setup, deployment gates, rollback plans
• Comfortable working in embedded or hybrid delivery models
• Participate in RCA reviews and feedback-driven improvement loops

YOU WILL HAVE

• Strong DevOps experience in AWS-based AI or data environments
• Proficient in AWS CodePipeline, CodeBuild, ECR, ECS Fargate
• Hands-on with Lambda automation, CI/CD workflows, and microservice orchestration
• Experience with monitoring/logging tools: CloudWatch, CloudTrail, Prometheus
• Proactive mindset; takes ownership of pipeline reliability
• Strong troubleshooting and incident response skills
• Comfortable communicating in high-stakes technical environments
