DevOps Engineer

We're working with a popular Australian brand that’s on the lookout for a DevOps Engineer to join their growing tech team. If you're someone who loves automating processes, building solid infrastructure, and working with the latest AWS tools – this one's for you.

What you’ll be doing:
You'll be helping to streamline and improve the functionality of their website and internal systems. Your work will focus on performance, security, and scalability – all while playing with a seriously cool AWS setup. You’ll be building out cloud infrastructure, optimising data workflows, and making sure everything runs smoothly behind the scenes.

A snapshot of your day-to-day:

Designing and improving RESTful APIs for both public-facing and internal use

Building event-driven systems using Pub/Sub, EventBridge, and SQS

Automating everything you can using Infrastructure as Code (CloudFormation, AWS SAM, CDK)

Setting up and fine-tuning CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GitLab

Keeping an eye on things with smart monitoring and logging, while making sure the setup stays secure

Tech you’ll be working with:

AWS Tools: Glue (PySpark), DMS, RDS (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Aurora), Lambda, S3, API Gateway, WAF, CloudFront, Step Functions, VPC, IAM

Languages: Python (must-have), plus some JavaScript/TypeScript

DevOps & Monitoring: CloudFormation, SAM, CDK, CloudWatch, NewRelic, Splunk

Security: IAM policies, role-based access control
