Mackay Regional Council is seeking an experienced Labourer to join our Signs and Line Marking Civil Operations team, based at the Paget Depot.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following
- Engage in a variety of tasks related to the maintenance and construction of roads, drainage, and other civil infrastructure, including earthworks, concrete work, pipelaying, bitumen application, and vegetation management.
- Operate rigid motor vehicles with a GVM up to 15 tonnes, as well as small ride-on equipment and light mechanical plant.
- Manage traffic effectively, ensuring the safe control and direction of vehicular traffic around work sites.
- Provide on-the-job training and share knowledge and skills with fellow colleagues.
Essential Qualifications, Experience & Skills:
- Current General Construction Safety White card
- Current QLD manual Car 'C' class open Driver's licence
- Current QLD Medium Rigid Truck 'MR' Class Licence or willing to obtain
- Current Traffic Controllers Ticket & Traffic Management Implementation or willing to obtain
- Competent operation of small ride-on equipment and light mechanical plant with relevant certificates of competency for civil construction machinery.
- Previous experience with maintenance and construction of roads, drainage and other civil infrastructure including earthworks, concrete, pipelaying, bitumen and vegetation work and other hands on labouring tasks.
