We are looking for an energetic, articulate candidate with a real passion for tourism. You must take pride in your work, be able to work under pressure and like working in dynamic teams. Experience in a previous tourism role or a qualification in tourism will be regarded favourably. Transferrable skills from previous experiences or education will also be an advantage.

The Position

The Reservations & Travel Consultant role will require you to promote, sell and provide advice on company and third party products to customers, process bookings and partake in daily administration duties.

Key Responsibilities

Promote, sell and provide advice on a range of day tours or multi-day tours and accommodation to prospective customers either in person, by phone, email or online chat

Liaise with tour operators, operations departments, hotels, hostels and other organisations where required

Manage the queries relating to dispatch of buses (i.e. coordinating passengers who cannot locate their bus, are running late or need to make a last-minute change to their pick-up location) with both customers and tour operators

Accurately process bookings in the computerised reservations system and undertake any associated administration tasks (eg. Ensure full payment of each tour booking is received)

Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of the tour products, pricing and operators

Additional tasks may be assigned depending on your strengths and career ambitions

Maintain an excellent standard of customer service in all the above duties, while also endeavoring to maximise the sale of company products

Hours of Availability

Office hours are 6:45am to 8:00pm Monday - Friday and 6.45am - 6.00pm weekends, including public holidays.

Shifts will vary based on a roster system, shifts will be varying and flexibility is required.
