Safety Bay Dental Care Centre is located in the beach-side suburb of Rockingham Beach, which is a precinct of Rockingham City. Rockingham City has many beautiful beaches and islands making it the “go to” location for windsurfing, kite-surfing, kayaking or swimming.

Advertised as part-time. We are willing to be flexible to suit candidate's requirements of which days and what hours and to an extent, what duties.

We are seeking a unique Dental Hygienist/ Oral Health Therapist to take over our periodontal health program and provide quality, care to our patients. Our current hygienist has a good following of loyal patients and has established, with the help and support of the principal dentist, excellent treatment and maintenance programs for light to moderate sufferers of periodontal disease. More severe cases are sent to specialist periodontists as is indicated on a case by case basis. However, we often then share the maintenance treatment with the various periodontists. All such decisions are made in the best interest of the patients.

Our current hygienist has had to resign as he are relocating to Tasmania for family reasons. He will continue up until July 9th 2025. He will be happy to assist in the handover process to any successful candidate.

At Safety Bay Dental all patients are screened for periodontal health at each examination by the dentist. Any pockets found are recorded along with any signs of inflammation. The patient is then on referred to the hygienist/ therapist to manage the treatment as they feel is necessary yet collaborating with the dentist. The successful candidate will also be responsible for patient education and counselling.

We do have an EMS airflow unit available on site.
