About the role
Magill School Governing Council is seeking an experienced and passionate OSHC Assistant Director to join their team on a short-term contract basis, initially for an 8 week block in Term 2 starting 12th May, 2025 and possibly for another block of 8 weeks in Term 3. As the OSHC Assistant Director, you will play a crucial role in supporting the daily operations and overall management of the Out of School Hours Care (OSHC) program at our Magill location in South Australia.
What you'll be doing
Assisting the OSHC Director in the overall leadership and administration of the OSHC program
Overseeing the supervision and engagement of children, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment
Supporting the planning, implementation, and evaluation of age-appropriate recreational and educational activities
Maintaining strong relationships with families and the school community
Ensuring compliance with all relevant policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
Assisting with the recruitment, training, and supervision of OSHC educators
Providing effective communication and collaboration with the OSHC Director and school leadership
What we're looking for
Relevant tertiary qualification in childcare, education, or a related field
Minimum 2 years' experience in an OSHC or similar childcare environment
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Demonstrated knowledge of the National Quality Framework and relevant childcare regulations
Current First Aid, Asthma, and Anaphylaxis qualifications
Satisfactory National Police Check and Working with Children Check
