Construction Junior Planner - Client-Side - $110k- $130k+super+bonus

Your new role
Do you have construction experience in hotels, retail, hospitality, building-related construction work? Fit-out, refurb-type works would be ideal. Have you experience in planning and enjoy it? Would you like a career in planning?

My client is looking for someone who has construction experience in the fit-out of buildings, hotels, retail, hospitality, that has had exposure to and would enjoy a career in planning. You must have experience at some level in planning.

Being the client-side construction planner you will be responsible for the delivery of a seamless and transparent projects & development solutions supporting all business units during concept design, documentation, tendering and delivery of an agreed development solution. This position is responsible for the on-time and on-budget delivery of approved development & Infrastructure capital projects across their assets. This role will work with contractors, consultants and internal stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle ensuring that the as-delivered projects are entirely consistent with the approved brief and within the agreed timeframe, cost and quality parameters. You will essentially oversee the planning from the builder side.

Develop programmes from first principle and ensure they are fully integrated and logic linked across the project lifecycle from project approval to construction handover
This is an junior level role, so the role will also involve helping out with other tasks such as stakeholder engagement, presentations to the board and possibly other administrative tasks.

What you'll need to succeed;

Very competent in computer packages such as MSProject, Primavera etc.
A construction related qualification
Between 2- 5 years in the construction market - and some planning exposure
Understanding of planning
Strong and stable background working for a Tier 1 or 2 builder, consultancy- building related projects
MUST HAVE experience in delivering building / fitout projects $1m- $50m, 3 - 8 month timeframes
This is not a civil infrastructure project position!

Excellent communication and presentation skills
Ability to build relationships with multiple stakeholders
Experience ideally working in live environments
Based here in Melbourne ready to go.
