Simply, our previous Myotherapist (whom worked with us for 7years) has become a Physiotherapist and thus we are on the search for a passionate, knowledgeable and collaborative soft tissue therapist to step into this vacancy. As you can imagine, our OHL leadership team want to continue to achieve successful patient outcomes for our community of clients and we see Soft Tissue Therapy care as an important pillar of our services to achieve said outcomes. Tell me about the clinic
The Optimal Health Lab, or as we call it OHL, opened in May 2017 and today it continues to be a growing allied health clinic in Melbourne's north eastern suburbs. We are proudly achieving amazing results with our 'team healthcare' approach of collaborative Physiotherapy, Dietetics, Podiatry and Myotherapy services (and yes, we are aiming to see Psychology and AEP land in 2025). Our purpose-built facility has 6 spacious treatment rooms and an enormous Strength Lab facility for you to enjoy!
As a soft tissue therapist at OHL, who will I be treating?
But first, did you know in the last 12months we've had internal PD experiences with a spinal ortho surgeon, a foot surgeon, a yoga teacher, a PhD physio on posterior heel pain, a pain-titled physio AND topic presentations from our own multidisciplinary team!? We thrive on ongoing learning - want to get amongst these opportunities!?
What would make up your caseload?
Primarily, you will be meeting an active, motivated client community (across the lifespan) who want to play sport, travel happily and achieve their optimal health with your valuable help! This sees a large diversity of conditions presenting to our soft tissue service like spinal pain, headaches, sporting recovery care, stress management, post-op care alongside the Physio team, as well as clients suffering from pain, fatigue and chronic diseases.
Our clinic is linked with Lower Plenty Football Club, Eltham Wildcats Basketball Club, Greensborough Triathlon Club, Diamond Valley Athletics Club and other local sporting groups, as well as local surgeons, medical specialists and GP professionals.
Who will I be working with?
Multi-disciplinary team who all take a team approach to health care. Our goal is to see the right patient, get the right diagnosis and treatment from the best qualified person in that field. This team includes a Podiatrist, 7 x Physiotherapy team and a Dietitian, and YOURSELF!
Full administrative team focused on delivering a comprehensive client experience and support our clinical team.

Who is the leadership team:
OHL is owned and actively managed by a brother-sister combination in Lauren McLinden and Andrew Campbell. They have blended their individual skills to create our growing clinic!
> Lauren: Experienced Dual titled Physio who has working in the local area for over 12years. She has completed double masters in Sport and Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy at LaTrobe University and she had worked with a number of elite sporting teams. She heads up our clinical team (alongside our Clinical Manager/ Physio Darcy Sharples).
> Andrew: Is our non-clinical Director/General Manager. His key focus centres around fostering a private practice environment which sees growth through sustainable means and he is passionate about ensuring our clinicians can best care for the community for years to come. He is always accessible to his team for any questions/ concerns/ feedback on how to make OHL the very best place.
> Darcy: Wears two hats! He is our Clinical Manager and he is a working Physiotherapist in the team.
