About the role

We are seeking experienced Disability Support Workers to work as Disability Support Workers to provide specific in-home care and support work for our client living in the Hallett Cove area.

We are looking for applicants who are available for day and evening shifts and have experience providing support for clients with spinal cord injuries.

You must be available to commit to 2-3 shifts per week as a minimum and must be available for short shift times to begin with, this will increase over the upcoming months. Shifts will be available across Monday to Sunday each week.

Your key responsibilities

Our team is looking for a dedicated and passionate Disability Support Workers who can undertake the following key responsibilities:

• 2:1 Support, working alongside another support worker
• Personal Care including Skin Integrity Management and Pressure Area Care
• Catheter Care
• Assisting other Support Worker with ADL's
• Medication Administratio
• Bowel Care Management
• Manual Handling
• Supporting the client with activities at home and out in community

About you

To join our team, we are looking for the following skills and experience:

• Full South Australian Driver's Licence and reliable car
• NDIS Workers Screening Check
• Working with Children Check
• Current First Aid certification
• Current CPR certification
• Manual Handling certification
• Assist with Medication Certification
• English fluency - verbal and written
• Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent required

We are also looking for someone with great communication skills, who works well in a team, has a caring and supportive nature, and is client-focused.
