About the role
We're excited to share a rewarding support opportunity with you. Based in Upper Coomera, you'll join a 24/7 care team supporting a 30-year-old non-verbal gentleman with a brain injury. Working alongside Registered Nurses, your role will involve assisting the client with all ADL's as well as supporting the RN & assisting them while on shift. A varity of shifts will be available. AM's, PM's & Sleepover shifts.
Your key responsibilities
Our team is looking for a dedicated and passionate Disability Support Worker who can undertake the following key responsibilities:
- Personal care
- Continence management
- Domestic assistance
- Rehabilitation exercises
- Behaviour support
- Following RN instructions while on shift
- Progress notes
About you
To join the team, we are looking for the following skills and experience:
- Previous disability experience (minimum 2 years)
- Personal care experience
- Current First aid and CPR
- Yellow card/NDIS Screening Card
- Working with Children Check
- Medication certificate (or willing to obtain)
We are also looking for someone with great communication skills, who works well in a team, has a caring and supportive nature, and is client-focused.
