We’re currently seeking two experienced Assistant Accountants to support our expanding finance function. This is a hands-on role suited to professionals who are technically strong, detail-focused, and capable of working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

The opportunity

You’ll be a key part of a collaborative finance team, working closely with the Payroll + Accounts Administrator, Finance Manager, and CFO, together with an offshore support crew. You’ll be involved in supporting month-end processes, reconciling key accounts, validating data across systems, and contributing to business improvement initiatives.

To succeed in this role, you must be ready to roll up your sleeves and take ownership of the detail-heavy, foundational work from the outset. This includes managing high volumes of transactions, solving problems as they arise, and navigating multiple systems that don’t always talk to each other.

Both positions are ideal for professionals who are comfortable with complexity, and are eager to make an impact from day one.

Key responsibilities

Perform month-end reporting, account reconciliations, and journals

Process BAS, PAYG, and support payroll (as backup or reviewer)

Allocate and reconcile high volume cash transactions

Identify and resolve discrepancies through collaboration with other teams

Support implementation of new systems and process improvements

Contribute to data integrity and validation across platforms

Provide assistance with business intelligence reporting and analysis

Support accounts payable functions

What we're looking for

Degree qualified in Accounting, progressing toward CPA or CA

Proven experience in a similar Assistant Accountant role

Proficient with accounting software (e.g., Xero, Dext) and Microsoft Excel

Solid understanding of financial processes and internal controls

Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail

Confident communicator with the ability to work cross-functionally

Able to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently

Comfortable working in a high-volume, fast-moving environment

CRM experience desirable but not essential

Full Australian working rights required
